First Bath!

Oh my goodness! The first bath, what a crazy funny moment for both Phil and I. We had no clue what we were doing. Of course the hospital taught us how to bathe our son, but they showed us this about an hour after he was born! Hello! We just had a baby, the last thing we want to pay attention to is how to wash a new born.

Phil and I placed our portable heater in our guest bathroom (now Cole's bathroom) and let that run a bit to get it a little warm in there! We then placed him in his tubby (he had to get a sponge bath since his umbilical cord stump didn't fall off yet) Once we started washing him down, he hated it! He screamed and screamed!

Phil and I video tapped the entire thing! Although we did miss a great moment, Phil had asked me to go get him another wash cloth, and I stepped out of the room, turned off the video tape, and Cole peed everywhere. I came in and saw yellow puddles and just laughed! Too bad he sprayed backwards and didn't hit Phil! That would have been a great moment!

After we were done bathing him he was a happy boy! Look at his hair!

We promise to do a better job at bathing him for his next bath :)
