Happy 1 Month Birthday Cole Nicholas!!
I can't get over that our baby boy is 1 month old!! Time sure does fly and I have enjoyed every moment of it with him and look forward to every other day, but jeez, can it slow down??
Phil and I have really mastered the needs of Cole, we know when he is hungry (he is like mommy, moody until you feed him and then the happiest baby ever after he eats.) We know when he is tired and is fighting sleep, and we know how to put him to sleep, we know the I just want to be held crys, and the I got gas crys :).. We feel like pro's!!
Cole really is a happy chill baby.. We have gotten lucky so far. He has been wonderful and sleeping great. If he wakes up at night and doesn't want to go back to sleep he just stares at you and just wants to be held. I'll take that over him crying for hrs on end!
He has experienced so much in his first month of life! Meeting almost his entire family, seeing a president be sworn in, gone on many car rides, had his first sleep over, visited daddy at work, and has had millions of hugs and kisses!
Here are some stats on our man:
- Weight - TBD on monday
- Eating - 4oz at every meal
- Sleeping 3-5 hrs at a time at night
- Out of new born diapers :(
Milestones:
- Lifts head way up when on someones chest, but not during tummy time.
- Focuses on faces
- Responds to sound
- Knows mommy and daddys voice
- Starting to smile randomly and cooing
- Follows objects with eyes

Afternoon Update:
We had an amazing afternoon. Grama came over around 12:30pm. She brought over a home made party hat made by her, and decorated by Grandpap! It is so cute! (See pics below!) Cole was hungry so Grama was able to feed him a bottle while I was able to enjoy a nice long warm shower! After Cole ate we packed him up and we headed to Wendy's, Grama's second favorite lunch spot, her favorite is subway! We then went to Giant to pick up cupcakes for tonight and went over to Target! Cole slept the entire time! It was so nice to get out and just have someone to talk to! I don't think i've talked that much in weeks! It was such a nice day!
I also got flowers from my sister in law! Aren't they beautiful! Gerber Daisy's are my FAVORITE flowers!!!!!! It was so sweet of her to send them to ME!!! Look at the card! I love it! It made my day!
This has been a WONDERFUL day! Just what I needed! My baby boy slept so great at night, and I got to have a wonderful day with my son and my mom! what more could I ask for?
