Happy 1 Month Avery Kate!!

Happy 1 Month Avery Kate!

We can't believe that she is 1 month old! This month has gone so fast, and it needs to slow down. We have enjoyed this last month with her and feel like she has been with our family forever! We feel complete :).

So...Avery, what have you been up to in your first month of life?

  1. You have given mommy 2 to 5 hr stretches at night.
  2. You are eating about 2.5 ounces every 2-3 hours during the day. You are not on formula......yet ;)
  3. You love to be held and sleep on people and I'm loving every minute of it!
  4. You are lifting your head just a bit, but prefer not to do tummy time.
  5. You follow objects
  6. You turn your head when mommy is talking to you to see where I am :)
  7. You are one gassy kid! my goodness, you toot louder than your brother.
  8. Your brother just LOVES to give you kisses, and it brings tears to our eyes to see you two together.
  9. You have been to Grama and Grandpaps house almost every day :) And they sure do adore you!

Stats from the doctor.

  1. You weigh 8lbs 10ozs!!! (You gained almost 2 lbs in 1 short month!) - 50%
  2. You are 21 inches long! (Your brother was born this long!) - 50%
  3. Your head is 14 1/2 inches - in the 60%
  4. You have an umbilical hernia and the doctor said we will keep an eye on it, but most likey you will have an outty belly button :(
  5. You have a slightly clogged tear duct

Avery, I can't put into words how much I love you sweet baby girl. You are my world, just like your brother. I didn't think my heart could get any bigger but it sure has. You really don't believe anyone when they say you will love your child more than anything in the world, and boy is it true! What else is true is that you will find enough room to love both children more than anything, and my goodness sweet girl, that is true!

Thank you for picking our family to join! I promise to always be there for you, love you, and guide you in the right direction. You have made me realize that the most important thing in this world are my kids, and I plan on making some changes in my life to live by this.

I hope to make you proud some day. I hope the decisions I make are the right decisions for you and your sweet big brother!
