Cole, you really scared mommy - but I am so thankful that you are a strong boy and handled it so well (much better than mommy!) So.. here is how it all happened!!
You and Daddy came upstairs to get Avery from me since you, daddy and Avery were going to Grammy and Poppops, and I was going to go get my hair done. I just got out of the shower and was in her robe. You came into the room, and I decided that Avery needed a heavier shirt on since it was cold out! As I was in Avery's room, I heard Daddy say "Cole, do you want to go see mommy!" you said OH YES! And then I heard the thud, and crying...My heart dropped, I saw daddy carrying you out of our room with his hand over your head. I asked if you were okay, and I didn't hear daddy's response over your screams, so I said what. Daddy moved his hand and I saw dark dark blood! It was so scary! He took you into your bathroom and I took a peek at your booo boo! Once I saw the cut, I looked at your father and said "We have to go to the hospital!" Daddy took you downstairs to clean you up, and mommy called Grama and Grandpap and hurried to get dress! Grama and Grandpap didn't answer the phone so I called CiCi and Coach.. Coach answered the phone and I started crying (poor coach having to deal with me!) I asked if they could meet us at the hospital and get Avery.
By the time I got downstairs you weren't crying anymore but blood was still coming from your head. It broke my heart!!
We arrived at Paoli hospital and Coach and CiCi were there with a scoop in hand :) You sure love scoops! They took Avery home and we went and checked you in.. Grama and Grandpap came as soon as they heard and were right there waiting with us!
When they called you back you were such a big boy! You let the nurse look you over! When the Dr. came into the room you said "Hello Dr. Fix it?" you were so polite and used your please and thank yous! Even when you were hurting you remembered your manners!
The Dr. came in, and said you def. needed stitches, and we may even have to get it re cut open in 6-9 months if it doesn't heal correctly because it was so deep and not straight.
You laid down and let the Dr. stitch you right up with no tears! We were SOO proud of you!
Afterwards you sat up and said "Thank you Dr." You make my heart melt child!!!!! I love you!
We went to Grama and Grandpaps house where we tried nap time, but that didn't work (side note: we were going to go to Dutch Wonderland to see the lights - but we hand to cancel that :)). We then came home and you had 2 cupcakes for dinner :)
Cole - you amaze us on how strong you are. We are SO proud of you! I love you! With my entire heart and soul sweet child.
