Bonfire at Grama and Grandpaps!

When my parents had their backyard done, they had them place in a fire pit! Friday we decided it would be a perfect evening to light the fire for the first time! I took Cole on a little walk so we could find the perfect stick to roast marshmallows :) it was so much fun and he did a good job finding a stick….although he pronounces it with a d, rather than an s ;).. silly boy!!!

The boys (Phil and Cole) gathered the wood and stacked it perfectly into the fire pit. Phil showed Cole how to light the fire while grandpap watched with Avery. The fire was so nice and warm and def. made it feel like a nice fall night.

I do have to admit that my mom and I were very scared with Cole around the fire. He almost fell in before it was lit! I think my mom and I had a hard time truly enjoying the night because we were too worried about Cole falling in.

We roasted some marshmallows.. Cole had his first roasted marshmallow and his response to it was "yucks, no want!" HA! Hopefully soon he will grow to love them, because I sure do!
