<3 Dottie <3

Phil and I have had a very busy last few weeks. So it is def. time for an update...

Dottie went to be with her lord on April 8th. We will miss her so much and so sad that she is gone :(.. She meant so much to me and Phil.

Her service and obituary was beautiful, here it is:

Dorothy K. Gudz, 60, of Phoenixville, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 8,2009 in her home surrounded by her loved ones.Born in Stamford, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Doris (Rexter) Gudz.Dorothy received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Alvernia College and her Master's Degree from Boston College.She entered the Bernadine Franciscan Sisters in 1967 and devoted 22 years of her life to serving her Lord.She was principal of several elementary schools in New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania with her final call being at Sacred Heart School in Royersford.

Dorothy will be remembered for her beautiful smile, gentleness, caring heart and compassion to all she came in contact with. She took pleasure in being able to inspire the children entrusted to her care to always do their best.She enjoyed taking care of her dogs, playing the guitar, gardening, birdwatching, trips to the American Music Theater in Lancaster with good friends Dee and Barb, relaxing by the pool and being a member of the "Wallowers".

Dorothy is survived by:Tina Shoemaker, her lifelong friend and loving caregiver; Her Dogs: Heidi and Holly; Sister: Sister Immaculene Gudz of Cartaret, New Jersey;Brother: George and wife,Stephanie Gudz of Columbus, GA; Sister: Fran Morton and best friend, Kathy Loughran of Lakewood, New Jersey; brother: Thomas Gudz of Mays Landing , New Jersey; Godson: Thomas Gudz; Nieces and Nephews: Samantha Gudz, Christopher Gudz, Heather, Josh, Jennifer, and Jonathan Loughran.

She also enjoyed spending time with her extended families, the Shoemakers, the Forises and the Bernadine Sisters.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral from the Devlin-Rosmos-Kepp Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Main Street at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Tuesday April 14, 2009. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 9:45 am followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 am in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 219 Dayton Street, Phoenixville with the Rev. Michael C. Rzonca officiating.

Burial will be private.Relatives and Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, and on Tuesday from 9:00 to 9:45 am. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Stepping Stone Education Center, 400 Franklin Ave. Phoenixville, PA 19460.
